Butterfly boomarks!

Hello everyone. I hope you all had a wonderful Memorial Day. We had a good one here. The weather was very sunny, hot and humid. Here is a craft we made at the cookout this weekend. My daughter and the other children had so much fun trying to shape the chenille stems into butterflies and it keep them busy for a while :) I hot glued the butterflies to the wooden colored sticks for the children. I didn't want them to get burnt with the hot glue gun. We are going to use them as bookmarks. I bought the pony beads, chenille stems and colored wood craft sticks at the Dollar tree store for 1.00 each.

We made some in red, white and blue. Some in pastel colors. These are so easy to make;0)
Here is a close up of the pastel color butterfly. These are so beautiful and all the children and adults loved making them.
Have a great day all and thanks for stopping in to visit:)

Rock head angel pin!

Happy Memorial Day weekend all. I hope you all have a wonderful and safe holiday. We will be spending a lot of time outside cooking out and having lots of fun. Here is a rock head angel pin I made to give to some of my family and some friends for Memorial day and 4Th Of July. I made them in red, white and blue ribbon. This is something I just put together. I used natural Raffia for angel wings, 1 1/2 inch wire edged ribbon for dress, 1/4 inch ribbon to tie around neck, crafter rocks for head, permanent markers to make face and a hot glue to glue it all together. I used a lot of hot glue to keep it together:) She is so cute. Don't you think so?

I hot glued a pin on back. Now it can be worn on a shirt.

Thanks for stopping by everyone :)

Home Sweet Home plaque!

Hello all! I hope you are enjoying your day. I entered a challenge over at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog a couple of weeks ago and I won April Showers Cricut Cartridge. I received the cartridge on Saturday and here is a project I made with the April Showers Cart. The wood is a 5 by 7 inch and I bought it at Walmart in crafts area for 1.00. I sanded the wood with sand paper and I used Plaid Mod Podge Gloss _Lustre the water sealer, glue and finisher and painted it over the wood and used it to glued the die cut to wood. I painted Modge Podge over the whole project to give it a shine and to water seal the paper cuts. This technique is called decoupage. I used permanent markers to write Home Sweet Home and to make a face on the cloud;) I added some i rock gems in corners. I used the Gypsy for this project.

This is for this Challenge
Fantabulous Cricut Challenge to use a cloud and color blue.

Have a great day all and thank you for stopping by:)

Bobbie pin project!

Hello, everyone! I hope you are having a great Monday. These I made for my friend. She wanted me to make some flower hair pins to be given out at her daughters' birthday party. Here is what I came up with! I used the Cuttlebug flower die to cut all the flowers. I cut the flowers out with the glitter foam sheets and hot glue it to pin. I had to glue another small piece of foam sheet to back of Bobbie pin to make the hot glue hold it better:)

Here is all the ones I made so far and I'm putting all the Bobbie pin flower sets in clear bags;) and I put all them on a white piece of card stock too.

Here is a close up. Let me know what you think or if you have any questions on how I made them:)

Have a wonderful day and THANK YOU all for stopping by and looking:)

Hello, all! I hope your Tuesday is going well. I been busy working on all my crafts today. I have so many project I must finish. I don't know how I keep up with it all:) Here is the first piece of embossed metal from this post link. I promised to post a project with the embossed metal and here what I made with a different piece of embossed metal. I used the Cuttlebug embosser to emboss metal. I embossed the metal with Cuttlebug (Stylized Flowers) embossing folder. The piece of wood is from Walmart cost $1.00 and the butterflies cost $1.00 from Dollar Tree store. The Studio G Alphabet stamp set is from Micheal's out of the $1.00 bin. That how I stamped Sisters are forever friends:) I bought the stamp set last week and I love them. I can stamp any sentiment now ;) I think it was a great buy for $1.00.

Flower clips!

Hello, friends! I hope you all had a great weekend. Here is some flower clips I made. This is my first time making these flower clips and I really like the flower I used too. I bought flowers at the $1.00 dollar store and they are so beautiful. The smaller flowers measures 3 1/2 inch and the larger flowers measure 5 inch.

I like these flower clips because they can be clipped to a card, hat, purse, shirt, hair, headband, flip flops, etc. I thought I would make some of these to sell at the craft fair. Here is the back of flower clips. I used the prong clips and alligator clips. These flower clips are so easy to make:)

Here is a tutorial on how I made the flower clips. Here is everything I used to get started. Some flat laying artificial flowers, prong clips or alligator clips, wire cutters and hot glue gun shown in picture below. First, I cut all the flower stems off the flowers.

I added hot glue in between layers of flower center so the flower would not fall apart. I glued where ever needed to keep flower together:)I hot glued the prong clips and alligator clips on back of flower. That about all to it! I hope you like this flower clip project and you are inspired to create some of these beautiful flower clips too.

Thank you for stopping by and taking a peek. Have a great week:)

Embossed metal experiment!

Hello, Friends! I hope you are having a wonderful day. I posted this yesterday but is was not here this morning when I checked my blog. I'm starting all over with this post because blogger was down. I'm so sorry if you commented and it's not here. I think some of the comments got deleted while blogger was down. Here is a metal experiment I had to try. This is a piece of metal from the hardware store. My hubby had some left over from a home project he did. I cut a small piece to see if I could emboss it with the Cuttlebug embosser. I used the Cuttlebug (Thanks) embossing folder to emboss metal. Yes! it worked and here is the results and it looks great :) I painted over the metal with some blue glitter activity paint I had! I think I will adhere this embossed metal to a piece of wood and embellish it. I will post it when I do that project :)

Here is the back of metal and how it looked before I painted it. I love the outcome of this piece of metal and it looks so awesome. Let me know what you think ;)

Have a great day everyone and thanks for stopping by :)
