Happy Monday! Today is my daughter first day of school. We made this pencil holder for her teacher.
For this teacher gift we used a empty corn can, colored craft sticks and some wooden school embellishments. We hot glued all the colored crafts sticks to empty corn can and hot glued wooden embellishments to the colored craft sticks.
We add some #2 pencils to can. :) This is easy to create and makes a great gift for the teacher to use in the class. Stop over to Monday Handmade Linkup Party and linkup something.
Have a great week all!!! Thank you for stopping by. :)

Back to School Gift Idea for Teacher!
Hello all! I been working on some back to school gift for my daughter to give to her teachers. I decided to make a book cover out of craft felt to cover a 6 in by 4 in journal with a pen holder for her teachers this year. This journal has 60 sheets in it.
I measure the journal and cut out the size needed to make a 6 in by 4 in journal book cover. Use a zigzag stitch on edges and for elastic pen holder on side. I hand cut some apples and leaves and stitched them on front of book cover.
Thanks for looking! Have a lovely week. :)Wednesday, May 14, 2014

Back to school Teacher's gift #2!!
Hi all! Hope you all are having a great day. School starts on August 30 here. I wanted to make another back to school gift for my DD Teacher and to share with some of her Teacher friends. I made a back to school Teacher's cake. I seen alot of these made for partys and I wanted to give one a try.
To make this cake I used the Tags,Bags,Boxes and More Cartridge. I cut 10 blackout boxes on page #126. I used 8 1/2 by 11 inches cardstock and fit to page button to cut cake box out. To hold all the cake boxes I cut a 11 inch circle on 12 by 12 inch yellow cardstock and 12 by 12 chipboard. Circle is cut from Plantin SchoolBook Cartridge on page #72.
I made all the pinwheels for the cake boxes. I cut 4 by 4 inch squares to make pinwheels and added a gold brad in center . The next time I make this cake. Im going to make the pinwheels 3 by 3 inch. I think 4inch squares are too big. I put candy in all the cake boxes. I wrap the whole cake in clear wrap and tied a yellow ribbon at top. Do you like my cake or what? I love it and I hope the Teachers love it too!
Here is a close up of the pinwheel I made for the cake boxes. I embossed the pinwheels with Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder.
You all know me by now. I love to give gifts to others. Have a great night all
Cartridge used:

Back to school Teacher's Gift!
Hello everyone! Hope you all are having a great day! This is a gift for the Teacher. I took a empty corn can and adhered foam sheet to can with hot glue gun. This is a great way to recycle some of those empty cans and create something nice for someone! My DD and I made 21 bookmarks for the can. My DD added all the stickers to the cardstock . I bought (2) packs of the stickers at the Dollar Store for $2.00. Click on any photo to enlarge!
The Teacher can used it as a pencil and pen holder when all the bookmarks are gone. This is a cute gift for the Teacher.
This photo shows all the different stickers used. I laminated all the bookmarks with the Your Story Book binder/ laminator and punched the holes with Crop-A-Dile and tied red and green ribbon through the holes on the bookmarks. Bookmark size is 2 inches by 7 inches.
Cartridge used:
Locker Talk ( book) on page #47 cut at 3 3/4 inches.
Create a Critter (worm) on page #65 cut at 2 3/4 inches.
