Back to school Teacher's gift #2!!

Hi all! Hope you all are having a great day. School starts on August 30 here. I wanted to make another back to school gift for my DD Teacher and to share with some of her Teacher friends. I made a back to school Teacher's cake. I seen alot of these made for partys and I wanted to give one a try.
To make this cake I used the Tags,Bags,Boxes and More Cartridge. I cut 10 blackout boxes on page #126. I used 8 1/2 by 11 inches cardstock and fit to page button to cut cake box out. To hold all the cake boxes I cut a 11 inch circle on 12 by 12 inch yellow cardstock and 12 by 12 chipboard. Circle is cut from Plantin SchoolBook Cartridge on page #72.I made all the pinwheels for the cake boxes. I cut 4 by 4 inch squares to make pinwheels and added a gold brad in center . The next time I make this cake. Im going to make the pinwheels 3 by 3 inch. I think 4inch squares are too big. I put candy in all the cake boxes. I wrap the whole cake in clear wrap and tied a yellow ribbon at top. Do you like my cake or what? I love it and I hope the Teachers love it too! Here is a close up of the pinwheel I made for the cake boxes. I embossed the pinwheels with Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder.
You all know me by now. I love to give gifts to others. Have a great night all

Back to school Teacher's Gift!

Hello everyone! Hope you all are having a great day! This is a gift for the Teacher. I took a empty corn can and adhered foam sheet to can with hot glue gun. This is a great way to recycle some of those empty cans and create something nice for someone! My DD and I made 21 bookmarks for the can. My DD added all the stickers to the cardstock . I bought (2) packs of the stickers at the Dollar Store for $2.00. Click on any photo to enlarge!
The Teacher can used it as a pencil and pen holder when all the bookmarks are gone. This is a cute gift for the Teacher.
This photo shows all the different stickers used. I laminated all the bookmarks with the Your Story Book binder/ laminator and punched the holes with Crop-A-Dile and tied red and green ribbon through the holes on the bookmarks. Bookmark size is 2 inches by 7 inches.

Cartridge used:
Locker Talk ( book) on page #47 cut at 3 3/4 inches.

Create a Critter (worm) on page #65 cut at 2 3/4 inches.

Accordian folder!!

Here is another folder I made. This one I wanted to make it clear. For this project I used (1) clear sheet 8 1/2 x 11 inch and (1) piece of 8 1/2 x 11 inch cardstock. If you want to know how I made the clear sheet. I made it with the Your Story book binder and laminator. Here is the link.
This is the side of folder. I like the clear folder I can see what ever is inside. This can be used for coupons, cards, pictures etc. Click any photo to enlarge.

Here is a tutorial on how I made the clear folder. I used a clear sheet 8 1/2 x 11 inch. I score at 4 1/2 inches and then 6 1/2 inches.

I then folded all the score lines. When it is folded it should look like this.
For the sides I trimmed (2) pieces of cardstock 4 inches x 8 1/2 inches. Score every 1/2 inches.
Then accordion fold ( press one way, then the opposite way). It should look like this here.
Then I adhere sides to folder with hot glue gun and then I took my Crop-A dile II and punched one hole through both sides and tied ribbon through the hole to make more sturdy. Punch (2) holes in front of folder and (2) holes in back and set eyelets to tie folder together at the top with ribbon. Folder size is 4 1/2 inches height X 2 inches Depth X 8 1/2 inches width.

Have a great day all!

Clear tag pockets with tags!!

Hi all! I hope you are having a great week so far. This idea is from Amy, A Scrap Happy Southern Bell blogspot. Here is the link if you want to check it out right Here. Amy is a very talented Designer. She used her laminating machine to make a clear sheet and created a easel card. I used her idea to make some clear Tag pockets and yes it does work! I love this idea! I don't have to buy clear acrylic sheets now. I can use the Your Story laminating machine to make a clear sheet. This tag pocket here I embossed it with Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder. I used the Cricut Expession to cut out pockets and tags.

This tag pocket here I embossed it with Cuttlebug Disressed Stripes folder. I used the Crop -A- dile II to punch holes and set the eyelets. The flowers are Prima Island Pastel flowers. I used a hot glue gun to adhere tag pockets together.

If you want the Cricut DesignStudio cut file, I created . You can get it Here ! This cut file makes (2) Tag pockets on 8 1/2 by 11 inch clear sheet or cardstock, which ever one you use. You will need another 8 1/2 by 11 inch cardstock to make (5) tags. You will need pattern paper if you want to layer tags like I did. I cut more tags and cut in half to layer mine.

Cartridge used:

Tags, Bags, Boxes & More (Scallop top tag creative feature Blackout on page 91, cut a 5 inches and Tag pocket creative feature blackout on page 112 cut at 9 inches.

Have a wonderful week all!.

Fish bowl shape card!

This card was designed and welded in Cricut DesignStudio and super easy to put together. I like this card, because it didn't take me hours to make. Some handmade card can take hours to finish. My daughter loves this fish bowl shape card. She loves everything I make with the Cricut Expression.

I made (2) cards on a 12 x 12 inch cardstock and the card size is 4 5/8 height 5 1/8 inches wide. I stamped hello at top of card with Inkadinkado clear stamps. I love these clear stamps. I added a google eye and some light blue puffy paint on tail of fish. The puffy paint takes some time to dry.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day all!

Small folder for A2 cards and Blog hop!!!

Hi everyone here is a A2 card folder I made. I made this so I could give A2 cards as a gifts or to hold coupons etc .
Here is a tutorial on how I made it. Cut a piece of cardstock 6 inches by 12 inches. Score at 4 1/4, 4 1/2, 8 3/4 and 9 inches. Then fold on all score lines.
When it is folded. It should look like this.
I used the MS deep edge flower bed punch on the flap of folder.
I cut (2) pieces of white cardstock 4 inches by 8 1/2 inches for the sides of folder. Score the (2) pieces of cardstock every 1/2 inches all the way to end. Then fold on all the score lines.
When folded the (2) pieces should look like this. Adhere these (2) pieces inside of folder on each end.
It should look like this. When sides are adhered.
I took the Crop A Dile to punch a 1/8 inch hole and set 1/8 inch eyelet. I tied a 6 1/2 inches of round elastic cord inside of eyelet. This will help keep folder closed. It's not perfect, but I like it. The folder size is 6 inches wide by 4 1/4 inches height.
For this project I used:
(1) 6 by 12 inch card stock. The card stock is Martha Stewart (Bright paper).
(1) Eyelet.
(1) 6 1/2 inch of round elastic cord.
(2)cut pieces of 4 inch by 8 1/2 inch of cardstock
Crop- A- Dile II Big Bite to punch holes and set eyelet.
